The Language of Gesture
In this series, color and mark become the language of emotion. Each work captures moments of energy and presence, transforming internal impulses into living strokes that speak for themselves.
Viewers are invited to immerse themselves in the movement of colors and the intensity of the marks, where emotion becomes visible and presence is felt.
Each piece becomes a space where color expands, marks come alive, and the painting activates the surface, creating a unique visual experience.
Inspired by the freedom of expression and the energy of the stroke, the series invites attentive contemplation, where every mark and color leaves a trace.
That energy
"That Energy" captura lo invisible: emociones que laten bajo la superficie y energías que fluyen entre color, forma y trazo. Cada obra es un instante suspendido, un espacio que se siente tanto como se observa.
La serie, actualmente con dos piezas —Those Moments with Them y Dany—, permanece abierta a crecer, conservando siempre la delicadeza, la armonía y la vibración que la definen.
Fragments of Light
“Fragments of Light” explores light and color through a free and sensory approach. Through open brushstrokes and vibrant compositions, painting becomes a language where perception and emotion take center stage.
Each work combines abstraction and memory, evoking sensations and suggested scenes rather than literal representations. Color moves beyond description to become a field of energy that activates the surface and shapes the visual experience.
The paintings unfold as spaces where movement and stillness coexist: moments in transformation or compositions suspended in time, inviting a slower, more contemplative gaze.
Inspired by the freedom to observe light and atmosphere, as the Impressionist artists did, the series connects emotion and color through an open pictorial language, where each mark leaves a trace.
The series invites an intimate experience: to pause, observe, and allow light to emerge from the painting.
Emergente
“Emergente” is a tribute to my ancestors and the paths they traveled; an act of gratitude that embraces dreams, losses, and secrets, but also achievements, births, and moments of light. The series arises from a deep acceptance of those who came before and a reflection on how each generation reflects its own time.
The paintings, mostly monochromatic, express themselves through texture and impulse, allowing each stroke to hold memory and emotion. Color becomes a vehicle for feeling, while the painting reveals wounds, challenges, migration, mestizaje, silences, as well as the strength, beauty, and life that resides in each story. It is an act of honor; of recognition.
This series invites contemplation: a reflection on life, memory, and the profound connection with those who came before us.
Remembering My Land
A series that abstractly synthesizes a cluster of cacti: pure lines exploring green tones and capturing the essence of these arid landscapes in a minimalist way.
“Where the Desert Is” is part of this collection, highlighting fuchsia, one of Mexico’s most iconic colors, present in crafts, art, gastronomy, and architecture.
The series creates a language where color and abstraction become energy, memory, and emotion.
Matérico
In this series, painting becomes a territory of textures and surfaces, where each layer and relief creates a unique sensory experience. The material speaks, inviting the viewer to touch with their eyes and perceive the energy emanating from each work.
“Matérico” explores the relationship between volume, color, and texture, transforming the surface into a visual language that conveys emotion and presence. Each stroke and relief becomes a record of movement and memory.
The series proposes a journey where the eye lingers on details, where material and paint come together to create a dialogue between the visual and the tactile, awakening attention and contemplation.
Inspired by the richness of materials and expressive freedom, “Matérico” invites the viewer to discover how color and texture build a pictorial space where each work leaves its mark.
Dots
“Dots” emerges from the essential. The dot, as the origin of all form, becomes a language of its own: minimal, repetitive, and deeply expressive.
In this series of three pieces, dots are not isolated elements but presences that gather, disperse, and interact, creating rhythm, tension, and balance across the surface. Each composition explores how something so small can hold such a wide emotional charge.
Beyond technique, “Dots” is an exploration of repetition and attention. A nearly meditative process where the gesture becomes constant and time is recorded in every mark.
The series invites a slower gaze: to come closer, observe, and allow the image to gradually reveal itself, much like emotion itself.
Lines
“Lines” is an exploration of gesture and emotion. Each stroke vibrates with its own energy, intertwining across the surface like an extended breath. The lines become paths of expression alternating rhythm, color, and movement, celebrating the freedom of the intuitive and the spontaneous.
This series is a testament to my work with abstraction, where painting transforms into emotion and emotion into form, creating a visual dance that invites viewers to feel as much as to see.
Although the series focuses on two core pieces, its language allows for expansion, whether through additional physical works or digital reinterpretations, maintaining the coherence and energy that defined “Lines” in 2018.
